Concept statement

This work aims at exploring the possiblities of different types of paper and texture. I chose several types of paper, such as newspaper, tissue, and tracing paper, and use common things like coffee and tea to do experiment on textures and colors.

The outcome of the work is a collage derives from a Chinese landscape painting-- Inquiry of Tao in the Autumn Mountains, by Ran Ju (Tang Dynasty). This is how I try to reinterpret the traditional Chinese art form.
